Belgium delays decision on deploying cruise missiles

The Belgian government has delayed until early 1985 a decision on deploying 48 US cruise nuclear missiles. Most Belgian politicians think March will be the deadline. When Belgium committed itself to NATO in 1979 to deploy cruise missiles, it said it would give the final go-ahead for such deployment only if East-West disarmament talks had failed.
