China is developing a new main battle tank which can survive in nuclear, chemical, and germ warfare, the semiofficial China News Service said Tuesday. It described the amphibious tank as one of a new generation of armored vehicles China started designing in the 1970s. Military attaches said they were not aware of such a vehicle.
