Guerrillas bombard Kabul to mark fifth anniversary

Afghan guerrillas eluded tight security and bombarded Kabul with rockets on at least five successive nights last week to mark the fifth anniversary of the Soviet military intervention there, Western diplomats said Sunday. The attacks reportedly began Dec. 24, three days before the anniversary, and continued at least until Friday.
