Broadcasting peace

From Mike Wallace of ``60 Minutes'' to Ring Lardner Jr. of ``M*A*S*H'' to James Yannatos of the new ``Trinity Mass'' -- the cause of peace brings together a media and musical spectrum in New York tomorrow. The occasion is a ``Day of Peace Education and Inspiration,'' open to the public, which will be broadcast live on station WBAI-FM (99.5) from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The afternoon program, from 2 to 6 o'clock, consists of dramatic readings from ``How Peace Came to the World,'' a book drawn from essays on achieving peace by the year 2010 submitted in a contest sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor. The readers include actors Keir Dullea of the film ``2010,'' Lee Richardson, Mr. Lardner, and others.

In the evening, at 7:30, comes the New York premi`ere of Mr. Yannatos's ``Trinity Mass.'' Mr. Wallace will narrate the concert, which features the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and several choirs.

``Trinity Mass'' receives its world premi`ere at 8 tonight in Cambridge, Mass., at in Harvard's Sanders Theatre, Robert J. Lurtsema narrating.
