Adam: His Song Continues (NBC, 9-11 p.m.): Sequel to the 1984 drama about missing child Adam and his parents' fight for a missing child legislation.

The Golden Land (PBS, 9-10 p.m.): Part 2 of ``The West of the Imagination'' examines the annexation of Texas and the Mexican War. Designing Women (CBS, 9:30-10 p.m.): Premi`ere of sassy, ``Golden Girls''-like series about four single decorators out to succeed in careers as well as personal relationships. TUESDAY

Agatha Christie's Murder in Three Acts (CBS, 9-11 p.m.): Peter Ustinov, once again playing Hercule Poirot, solves an Acapulco murder.

Cuba: In the Shadow of Doubt (PBS, 9-10 p.m.): Narrator Raul Julia examines the successes and failures of Castro's Cuban revolution.

Managing our Miracles: Health Care in America (PBS, 10-11 p.m.): First of 10-part series of seminars investigating a wide variety of medical issues -- legal as well as ethical -- that confront Americans. Fred W. Friendly is host. WEDNESDAY

Better Days (CBS, 8:30-9 p.m.): Premi`ere of new series about a California kid trying to make his way on a tough block in New York City.

Luciano Pavarotti: A Silver Jubilee Concert (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): Celebrating the golden tenor's 25th anniversary of his operatic debut. Taped at Madison Square Garden.

Project Second Chance: Dropouts in America (PBS, 8-9 p.m.): Robert MacNeil hosts story of high-school dropouts who decided to resume their studies. THURSDAY

Our World (ABC, 8-9 p.m.): An innovative, nonfiction look at the Cuban missile crisis of 1962, with Linda Ellerbee and Ray Gandolf as co-hosts.
