Their names leap out of print like a cheery wave, warming the heart with instant recognition: good friends I've never met, whose poems I save in scrapbook treasuries. Would they might know, who pen or type their lines in private spaces, how well they bridge the solitudes, how secure in kindred hearts and minds their special place is.
