Supreme Court agrees to hear Winans appeal

A former Wall Street Journal reporter who profited by investing in stocks he wrote about won a hearing before the Supreme Court of the United States Monday in his bid to overturn his fraud conviction. The court will hear arguments that Foster Winans and two others wrongly were convicted. Arguments in the case are not expected to take place until next autumn, with a decision likely in 1988.
