Reflections of a housebuilder

It is all shadows, sunlight etched in autumn windows a frame for children's smiles scraps of a life built by hand, gone up the draft. Only textures remain, the grain laid clear, across these years: oak floors, pine boards, cedar - reflections in polish, more hope than wood.
