Snug you lie within my loose cupped hand. Still, serene, with copper sunlight trapped beneath the rind. How came you here to rest in passive state With Eastern mysticism tangy 'neath the pith? Rolled o'er the ocean, soaring mid the clouds? Jolted, lifted, swung through darkened miles? Yet - quiet, dignified you lie within my grasp - Jaffa, unblemished, is it sacrifice or sacrilege To eat you?
