WORTH NOTING ON TV

FRIDAY Great Performances (PBS, 9-11:30 p.m.): ``Testimony,'' a film drama based on the book by the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (see articles in tomorrow's Arts pages). SATURDAY Kenny, Dolly & Willie: Something Inside So Strong (NBC, 10-11 p.m.): For country-music lovers - not to mention fans of pure talent - it may be the ultimate combo: Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson in a special taped in Rogers's hometown of Houston.

SUNDAY Everybody's Baby: The Rescue of Jessica McClure (ABC, 9-11 p.m.): Few have forgotten the extended news coverage about the 18th-month-old child trapped way down in an abandoned well, and how a Texas town was unified in its ultimately successful effort to dig her out. This ``Sunday Night Movie'' dramatizes the large-scale, sometimes heroic efforts of the many people involved.

TUESDAY American Comedy Awards (9-11 p.m.): Network, cable, and nightclub performers will be competing for the first time in this 33rd edition of the event, featuring lots of awards, lots of comics, lots of gags.

WEDNESDAY The 50th Barbara Walters Special (ABC, 9-11 p.m.): John Wayne, Bing Crosby, Katharine Hepburn, and other memorable interviews will be recapped in this special version of her show. American Playhouse (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): TV premi`ere of ``The Thin Blue Line,'' grim, critically acclaimed documentary film that led to the release of a man convicted of killing a Dallas police officer.
