King's College Chapel

Cambridge. October sunshine. In my own Autumnalty I hobbled down to King's To stare at its chapel's energies in stone Spread overhead in counterbalancings Of flippancy and faith.

Outside the wall A chestnut tree, more golden, no less tall And no less intricate, but natural, Stood saying nothing. And so said it all.
