CHILDRENS' WISH LISTS FOR 1992

Videogame systems are the gifts most requested by children this holiday season, according to the "North Pole Poll," conducted by the Gallup Organization.
Of 500 children surveyed (ages seven to 15), 63 percent said they want a videogame system. Portable videogames followed with 54 percent, and videogame software with 43 percent. Remote-control vehicles ranked fourth (31 percent), just ahead of pre-recorded video tapes (29 percent).
The survey also shows that on average, parents are expected to spend about $213 per child on gifts. Consumers will spend an average of $442 on holiday gifts, according to a MasterCard survey.
