JAPAN PREMIER TO VISIT US

Japan and the United States have agreed that Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa should pay an early visit to Washington, possibly in late March, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yohei Kono said yesterday.

Kyodo news agency quoted Mr. Kono as telling a news conference that Foreign Minister Michio Watanabe did not make any specific pledge during a visit to Washington last week that Japan would attain 3 percent growth in gross national product in fiscal 1993/94, which starts April 1.
