WORTH NOTING ON TV

* THURSDAY

Hillary: America's First Lady (NBC, 10-11 p.m.): "Today Show" co-host Katie Couric talks with Mrs. Clinton in a nationally broadcast in-depth TV interview. The discussion will revolve around her role in developing America's health-care plan, how she juggles her responsibilities, and how she is redefining the first lady's role. Mrs. Clinton also touches on subjects ranging from raising a teenager in the White House to her influence in the Clinton administration. * SATURDAY

Louie Anderson: Louie in St. Louie (Showtime cable, 9:30-10:30 p.m.): Louie Anderson's routines combine honesty with laughter. He often confronts his tendency to overeat, as he does here with humorous sketches on his favorite foods. Some of his pet peeves (the government is one) are also part of the material. * SUNDAY

Brides of Christ (A&E, 9-11 p.m.): From Australia comes a six-hour, three-part miniseries that centers around a group of nuns and girls in a Roman Catholic school during the 1960s. The series begins with the story of two young women who get the "call" to join a convent and don habits. It traces their journey and some of the trials they and their students encounter as they strive to understand and practice their faith. Later the series focuses on the mother superior, who struggles to incorporate the refor ms mandated by Vatican II. "Brides of Christ" is more a sweet, gentle look at the personal dramas of a group of women than a deep story. This thoughtful series stars Brenda Fricker, who won an Oscar for her performance in "My Left Foot." As the strict, by-the-books Sister Agnes, she adds a strong presence to the well-acted program.
