US HOUSING CONSTRUCTION LOSES MOMENTUM

Residential building permit volume in the United States will grow only about 1 percent this year, reaching slightly more than 1.1 million units, reports US Housing Markets. This is a relatively weak showing considering the 15-percent rebound residential housing experienced last year.

Housing has boosted the nation's overall recovery from recession, but is receiving little help from other sectors.
