The Bridges

So widely different, the land that must be joined - the marsh that lies across the bluffs that dot the skies - that it is hard to understand. Rock rejects tough root and stump. Despite the skill of engineers, the bridge across the river rears like horses that refuse to jump. But farther on a narrow stream, a bridge stretched like a friendly arm unites a prairie and a farm in quiet, mutual esteem.
