N.Y. Police Commissioner

Boston Police Commissioner William Bratton acknowledged Saturday that he was interviewed for New York City's top police post, but he said he hadn't received a job offer. He also said he hasn't asked to be considered for the $110,000 job.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino said Mr. Bratton is welcome to remain, but isn't irreplaceable. Other contenders include New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, former Port Authority Superintendent Henry DeGeneste, and former Drug Enforcement Administration chief John Lawn.
