Live From Lincoln Center (PBS, 8-10 p.m. EST): Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Emanuel Ax celebrate the 20th anniversary of ''Live From Lincoln Center'' and their own 20-year collaboration with Hausmusik (music at home). Joining the festivities are violinist Pamela Frank, soprano Barbara Hendricks, double bassist Edgar Meyer, and violist Rebecca Young for works including Schubert's ''Trout'' Quintet.

Tony Bennett Live by Request: a Valentine's Special (A&E, 9-11 p.m. EST): This interactive special invites viewers to phone in requests of love songs for Tony Bennett to perform from Sony Music Studios in Manhattan.

A Brother's Promise: The Dan Jansen Story (CBS, 9-11 p.m.): Olympic speed-skater Dan Jansen (played by Matt Keeslar) may have imagined winning a gold medal with his beloved sister/mentor Jane (Jayne Brook) at his side, but he finds he must achieve their dreams alone when she becomes ill and passes away (depicted in a few scenes near the beginning). This fact-based drama follows Jansen's path to finding happiness - both on and off the ice - which culminated in his 1994 gold medal in Lillehammer, Norway.

Understanding: Computing (TLC, 10-11 p.m.): On the 50th anniversary of the first fully electronic digital computer, this program explains key aspects of the computer world. Using high-tech graphics that are fun to follow, the program focuses on the digital orientation of the computer (which means everything is translated into 0s and 1s) and on newer, hot topics like e-mail.


The Centennial on Ice (TBS, 8:05-10:05 p.m.): Skaters including Nicole Bobek, Surya Bonaly, Todd Eldredge, and Michelle Kwan commemorate the first figure-skating world championships, held in 1896 on a pond in St. Petersburg, Russia. These centennial championships take place in the same city - but this time in a sports complex - and include men's, women's, and pairs' events. TBS airs coverage Thursday-Sunday evenings.
