People Count: Living the Vision (CNN, 5:30-6 a.m. and CNNI, 2:30-3 a.m.): As the United Nations City Summit takes place in Istanbul to address challenges in urban areas, this program focuses on individuals who have made a difference in cities.

Stanley Cup Championship (FOX, 8-11 p.m. EDT): Game 3 of hockey's best-of-seven finals. Florida Panthers vs. Colorado Avalanche, at Miami.

SUNDAY

Single - but Not Alone (CBS, 11-11:30 a.m.): This religious special gives several examples of how community church programs support single parents and their children.

1996 NBA Finals (NBC, 7-10 p.m. EDT): Game 3 of basketball's best-of-seven championship. Seattle SuperSonics vs. Chicago Bulls, at Seattle's KeyArena.

MONDAY

Learn It: an MTV News Choose or Lose Education Special (MTV, 4:30-5 p.m.): In a recent MTV "Choose or Lose" political poll, two-thirds of young adults cited education as their top concern in the 1996 presidential election. This news program discusses several education issues, such as prayer in school and the value vs. cost of a bachelor's degree.

America on Wheels (PBS, 9-10 p.m.): In the 1900s, automobiles have been just as American as apple pie. Model T's, the fin wars of the '50s, fuzzy dice, aerodynamic designs - they're all a permanent part of American pop culture. This program, continuing June 17 and 24, looks at the car's history and future in a social context. Hal Holbrook narrates.

Straight Talk With Derek McGinty (PBS, 10-11 p.m.): Radio talk host Derek McGinty comes to TV for three town meetings (the other two air June 17 and 24). The topics: "Black and White in America," "Money, Class and Politics," and "The American Family." Guests and pretaped segments include Mary Frances Berry, Ralph Nader, and Dan Quayle.
