SATURDAY

Little League World Series (ABC, 3:30-6 p.m. EDT): Pint-sized sluggers battle it out in this final game of the 50th World Series. The US winner and the international champion face off in South Williamsport, Pa.

SUNDAY

This Week With David Brinkley (ABC, check local morning listings): The day before the Democratic Convention, Vice President Al Gore fields questions from David Brinkley, Sam Donaldson, George Will, and Cokie Roberts.

Pride and Prejudice (A&E, 8-10 p.m.): Recently nominated for four Emmys, this A&E/BBC miniseries based on the novel by Jane Austen is back for an encore. The search for suitable husbands for the Bennet sisters continues Monday and Tuesday 9-11 p.m.

MONDAY

Malcolm & Eddie (UPN, 8:30-9 p.m.): Malcolm-Jamal Warner, a.k.a. Theo Huxtable of "The Cosby Show," returns to television in this comedy about unlikely roommates in Kansas City. In the debut, he and Eddie (comedian Eddie Griffin) attend a get-rich-quick seminar to win a TV.

Another veteran anchors the cast of Goode Behavior (UPN, 9-9:30). Sherman Hemsley (George Jefferson in "All In the Family" and "The Jeffersons") stars as newly paroled con-artist Willie Goode, who in this first episode tries to help his son get promoted.

Tuesday, UPN offers the season premire of Moesha (8-8:30 p.m.), with rapper Fredro Starr as a love interest for teen Moesha (Brandy Norwood).

Democratic National Convention (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS 10-11 p.m.): It's the Democrats' turn to put their best feats forward. Coverage Monday and Tuesday will be much like it was for the Republican gala. Featured the first day: actor Christopher Reeve speaking on the needs of the disabled and a finale performed by the cast of the musical "Rent," which won four Tonys and a Pulitzer Prize. Events from Chicago will also air during prime time on CNN and C-SPAN, and PBS and NBC team up 8-10 p.m. on PBS.
