Imports outpacing exports

According to May numbers released by the Department of Commerce, the United States is exporting fewer goods than it is importing. The country's international trade deficit is particularly pronounced in the purchase and selling of automotive vehicles - one of the sectors showing the greatest of such gaps between imports and exports. About $6 billion in vehicles was exported, while $14.5 billion entered the country.
