Summer sweets

When I speak of

the pleasures

About these ads

of biting

into fruit,

my throat

opens up.

Fields

of strawberries

brimming

About these ads

with juice,

brass bowls

filled

with grapes,

plump,

fresh from vines,

plums

as purple as

violet nights.

Who can resist

the taste of

peaches,

perfectly ripe,

sweetened with

the cream of

summer light.
