Despite some early losses, the US softball team will play for the gold medal against Japan.

Specialized events take over at the Olympic pool this week. US divers Mark Ruiz and Troy Dumais compete in the 3-meter springboard finals.

Look out, Popeye: The men's super heavyweights vie for the weightlifting gold. US hopes rest with Shane Hamman.

Track & Field - women's 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, discus throw; men's 800m, 400m hurdles

Diving (women) - springboard

MSNBC (10 a.m.-5 p.m.):

Tennis (women) - singles gold-medal match (Venus Williams vs. Elena Dementieva)
