World Series (Fox, 7:30 p.m.): The New York Yankees host the first two games of the fall classic against the New York Mets. It's the first "subway series" since 1956.
Monday 10/23
Boston Public (Fox, 8-9 p.m.): The new drama from David E. Kelley refocuses our attention on public schools - only this time, the subject is the faculty. It reveals what contemporary teachers are up against - whether middle-class spoiled brats or street-scarred wild kids.
The Rockefellers (PBS, 9-11 p.m.): The conclusion of this four-hour, two-night production looks at the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of John D. Rockefeller Sr., who struggled with the burdens and opportunities that come with tremendous wealth.
Tuesday 10/24
Michael Richards (NBC, 8-8:30 p.m.): "Kramer" of "Seinfeld" fame is back as Vic Nardozza, a bumbling private investigator, in this featherweight comedy.
Frasier (NBC, 9-10 p.m.): An hourlong special marks the show's move to Tuesday night in its eighth season. In the opener, Niles and Daphne (David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves) speed off together in a Winnebago on her wedding day.
