I really dug The Great Raid, a story about a rescue of 500 American prisoners of war in the Philippines that happened toward the end of World War II. The rescue didn't have to be done - there was no strategic value to it. But these rangers decided they were going to go get these guys. It was fascinating. Really good acting.

One of the things I'm always looking for is something I haven't heard before. The demos that come in [to the station] or the independent records that come in are the things that excite me. I read Uncut magazine every month. I like it because it covers such a wide range of music and goes in depth. I like the fact that they give you a CD every month - sometimes they're good, not always, but there are some interesting discoveries.
