New on DVD: Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

When it comes to the revolutionary special effects in "Star Wars," creator George Lucas loves to answer the big question: How'd he do that? Just as he changed filmmaking, Lucas sets a new standard for DVD extras with this final installment in the franchise. In addition to the movie - in which cinema's most famous heavy breather dons the black helmet for the first time - documentary teams capture all the on-set and in-workshop moments, including Lucas's own screenwriting process from Day 1. "Within a Minute: The Making of Episode III" focuses on the creation of the climactic 49-second duel between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on the lava planet of Mustafar. Myriad details include the blue/green-screen process, miniature creation, and the prosthetics Hayden Christiansen wore after Anakin is burned by lava. Deleted scenes explore a subplot between Padme and fellow senators, while the 15-part web documentary series goes into all the questions you'd think to ask and plenty more you wouldn't - like how to chrome-plate a rubber light-saber handle. This package is George Lucas's gift to his fans as well as to anyone who wants to know where movies have come and where they're going next.
