Ditched Bottles

A poem by Steve Benson.

Ditched Bottles

Wind hums across
chipped glass lips
thrown through
scratchy hoops
of wild berries
near deer paths
that veer back
into a valley
where every May
the same apple tree
throws its white bouquet.
