Linda Feldmann

Linda Feldmann covers the White House from the Monitor's Washington bureau, where she has been based for 24 years. She also serves as chief political correspondent, and has covered all the presidential campaigns since 1996. In 1999, she won an Exceptional Merit Media Award from the National Women’s Political Caucus for her series “Where Women Stand.” From 1989 to 1990, she served as the Monitor’s Moscow Bureau Chief. She has also been Op-ed editor, foreign-affairs writer, and assistant international news editor. In 1987, she worked at a Russian newspaper, The Moscow News, for three months as part of the first US-Soviet journalists' exchange.

Feldmann has a degree in Russian language and literature from Middlebury College and a Master’s in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She is married to Warren Richey, the Monitor’s Supreme Court correspondent.
