I've been keeping company with A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold of late. To find someone with a depth of understanding, great sensitivity to life in all its forms, and the ability to pen beautiful and poignant phrases to describe this life is rare indeed. Aldo Leopold is such a person. If you've enjoyed Loren Eiseley and Henry Thoreau, you'll cherish this fine publication. First published in 1949, it has aged well like fine wine; a timely expression of values highly relevant today.
