War and Peace

About these ads

I never thought that I’d ever really read all of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace, but a friend encouraged me to tackle the new translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa  Volokhonsky. Footnotes were helpful as well. My friend wisely  suggested that I “clear the deck” of other books in order to read Tolstoy
