Do MTV's hit reality show "Jersey Shore" and the world of books seem utterly antithetical to you? Then think again! St. Martin's Press announced this week that it will be publishing "Never Fall In Love at the Jersey Shore," a book by Jenni "Jwoww" Farley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, two of the show's stars.
"Never Fall In Love at the Jersey Shore" will be released in a trade paperback edition in early July, just around the time that the second season of "Jersey Shore," (which oddly enough, will be set in Miami), kicks off.
What is the book about? Well, it's not, as Entertainment Weekly suggests it might have been, "a heart-wrenching introspective memoir entitled 'The Reality of the Situation.' " Instead, Publishers Weekly tells us, Farley and Ortiz-Magro will explain – with the help of Marc Shapiro – "how to balance work, love, and partying, while properly taking care of hair, nails, and skin – as well as everything else that goes into living an authentic Jersey Shore lifestyle."
Do you question – even for a moment – the book's likelihood of success? Again – think a little harder. About 4.8 million viewers tuned in to last season's finale of "Jersey Shore," John Murphy, St. Martin's director of publicity reminds PW. He expects "Never Fall In Love at the Jersey Shore" to be to be " 'wildly popular' with a broad spectrum of readers."
