Angry Birds is a pretty big success, as far as downloadable video games go, so it was obviously only a matter of time before some dude over in England got the idea to make a gigantic chocolate Angry Birds birthday cake, complete with slingshot and destroyable green pigs. And obviously, since everyone loves a good Angry Birds story, it was only a matter of time before a video of said Angry Birds birthday cake garnered well over 2 million views.

"It’s become a family tradition that I make increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes for my kids each year," writes Mike Cooper, a blogger with the UK tech site Electric Pig, and a man with a serious gift for understatement. "So with my little boy Ben turning 6 years-old over the weekend, and appreciating his love of Angry Birds, I thought I’d have a shot a making him a playable Angry Birds birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition.

Cooper revealed that the Angry Birds birthday cake took him "10 hours to make and 2 minutes to destroy." Time well spent, clearly. See below for footage of the cake.

Last we checked in on the Angry Birds craze, Rovio was prepping an Angry Birds sequel, entitled Angry Birds Rio. The latest entry in the franchise is apparently a tie-in to the upcoming animated and avian-themed cartoon Rio. But don't expect your typical hastily-prepared movie merchandise: Rovio says the game will launch with a full 45 levels, and allow users to add more levels via in-app updates.
