Farm worker Juan Manuel Ramirez takes a break from irrigating dry land in San Luis de la Paz, Mexico. A drought is affecting agriculture in the state of Guanajuato, one of the biggest food producers in the country. “We have no water,” says Ramirez, preparing a bean field for surface irrigation. “Nothing has come out. The land is so dry here.”
