Gulf of Thailand – The Gulf is fed by Thailand’s four principal rivers. The accelerated agriculture and industry along these rivers, combined with expansion in the Bangkok metropolitan area, have contributed to eutrophication, or a high concentration of nutrients, especially phosphates and nitrates.
