New in theaters How She Move (PG-13)
Raya Green (Rutina Wesley) has lost her big sister to drug addiction, and the legal and medical expenses have left their Jamaican immigrant parents unable to pay for her private school. Raya decides to turn her step-dancing skills into tuition money. Since female dance crews seldom win big contests, she realizes she'll have to dance her way onto a male crew. The plot is serviceable enough, but it's really just an excuse to showcase some remarkably original choreography and athletic dancing, especially when the crew competes in a national contest in Detroit.
