The latest 'Sex and the City' knockoff is as glossy as its title suggests but no less watchable for it.

In yet another effort to restyle the "Sex and the City" formula as a network blockbuster, "Lipstick Jungle" explores the sex-and-drama-laced lives of three high-powered female executives in Manhattan. One of the trio, played by Brooke Shields, is nothing less than a film-studio head. When she suffers the humiliation of a nanny trashing her parenting skills, the entire city, not just a bistro table, is abuzz. This is a high gloss, prime-time soap but it's a tad too earnest (Serious women with serious problems). On the other hand, it does star the fabulous Kim Raver. Grade:
