Over the hedge: She's a real prize

Luke thought his mom's trophies made her extraspecial.

Recently my husband and I moved from a home where we'd lived for more than 40 years. Among the accumulation of treasures, we found a box of trophies our older daughter had collected over the years for showing dairy cattle, winning speech contests, etc.

When she and her family visited us in our new home, we presented her with this box to take home. Her son, Luke, age 7, observed her taking the trophies out and studying them. He turned to his father and exclaimed with glee, "Wow, Dad! Now you have a real trophy wife!"
