Westminster Dog Show: Five spunky Best in Show winners

The Westminster Dog Show in New York draws nearly 2,500 entrants a year, with handlers spending as much as $1 million a year on a single dog. Here are the dogs who won Best in Show in each of the past five years.

Rufus, a tan and white bull terrier, became the first of his breed selected as the overall champion of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York's Madison Square Garden in 2006.

Rufus was the first bull terrier to win Best in Show since 1919, marking a major step for a competition that critics had said lacked breed diversity. After retiring, Rufus was put to stud, and became something of an ambassador for his breed.
