Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has released a new two-minute web video tying his Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren to a comment made by President Obama about businesses and the role of public infrastructure.
The ad features Obama saying in part "if you've got a business, you didn't build that," followed by a quote from Warren saying "there is nobody in this country who got rich on his own."
In the full quote, Warren says private businesses benefit from taxpayer-funded roads and bridges. Obama also prefaced his comments by pointing to public infrastructure projects that aid businesses.
The Warren quote was from a campaign event last year.
