2. Joe Biden: ‘a big [bleeping] deal’

The March passing of the health care bill came with a characteristic bit of verbal color from Vice President Joe Biden. As he introduced President Obama on live television, Mr. Biden called the bill “a big [bleeping] deal.”

This expletive-ridden moment, of course, was nothing new to his home state of Delaware.

At the 2010 Radio and Television Correspondents’ Dinner, the vice president took a less explosive turn when he addressed GOP complaints about the bill being 222 pages long. “Put yourself in their spot. Just ask Sarah [Palin]. That’s a hell of a lot to write on the palm of your hand,” he said.
