Gibbs: Um, yeah, I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday

NEWSCOM/FILE
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs turned into a comedian Friday afternoon during his daily press briefing telling reporters that President Obama would announce his nominee for the soon-to-be-vacant Supreme Court seat on Saturday morning at 6:30am.

Roberts Gibbs turned into Lumbergh!

How do you like that? The White House Press Secretary did his best impersonation of the smarmy boss from the movie "Office Space".

You know, the suspendered supervisor who popped over to his poor employee's cubicle and said, "Um, yeah.... I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday."

That's how Gibbs started off his press briefing this afternoon. With a whopper.

"Let me give you a quick run-through of the week ahead. At 6:30 tomorrow morning the President will announce his Supreme Court nominee," he deadpanned.

"Gotcha! I'm done. That's obviously a joke, but I did love to see that -- if somebody can quickly text me the name of a chiropractor because at least four dozen necks snapped in one direction."

It wouldn't be unprecedented. Obama announced Utah Governor Jon Huntsman would be his Ambassador to China last Saturday. But it wasn't at 6:30.

If it were to happen?

"Don't worry, you'll get a text message. It's cool," he said.
