Listen, nobody's comparing President Obama to former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash or anything. But, they do have one thing in common: they like to smoke.

President Obama had his annual physical today and for the most part, things are great. After coming back from the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Obama told reporters that the examination went "really good."

His doctor concurs.

"The President is in excellent health and fit for duty," reads the White House physician's report. "All clinical data indicate that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency."

You can read the whole thing here.

Hasn't kicked it

But if you read real close you'll see that the president doesn't appear to have kicked the nicotine habit. The First Doc recommends he "continue smoking cessation efforts."

Like not inserting a cigarette into your mouth? That's one way. The report says he's using "nicotine replacement therapy."

For some people said replacement therapy means horking down five gallons of Haagen Daaz. Not for Obama. He weighed in at a cool 179.9 pounds.

Almost, but no cigar

The fact that he's still lighting up isn't a big surprise. Last June, the president said he was "95 percent cured" from smoking but acknowledged a slip-up here and there.

"Have I fallen off the wagon sometimes?" he asked himself. "Yes. Am I a daily smoker? No. Am I a constant smoker? No."

The president, by the way, vowed to not smoke in the White House. After all that would break the rules. His own Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, banned smoking in the White House when she was First Lady.

Slash quit

Hey, President Obama might want to call Slash up. A reader let us know that the guitarist -- arguably one of the greatest of all time -- told a reporter last week that he's done with smoking, again.

"I just quit," he said. "This is the second time I quit, so I'll see if I can make it through a European promo tour without starting again."

Speaking of Slash, he's got about 75,000 times the followers than we have on Twitter. Help us catch up. (And yes, we know Slash never played with Deep Purple).
