Despite his abrupt and much-discussed benching against the Detroit Lions two weeks ago, Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb is expected to start Monday night in Washington against the Eagles, the teams' second meeting of the season.

McNabb was benched before – in 2008. He came back hungry, throwing four TDs in a 48-20 Philadelphia victory over the Arizona Cardinals, as the Washington Post's Jason Reid notes.

Tonight, McNabb will go up against the man who replaced him in Philadelphia, Michael Vick. Vick is currently the NFL's top quarterback with a rating of 105.3. Vick also enjoys a 3-1 mark as a starting quarterback on Monday nights.

One of the big questions going into this game is can the Redskins running attack muster any positive yardage against the Eagles defense, currently ranked #5 in total defense in the NFC. Both Clinton Portis and his backup, Ryan Torain, are dealing with injuries and are questionable for the Monday night NFC East encounter.
