It's 'the mother lode of intelligence,' a US official said of the materials found with Osama bin Laden in Abbattabad, Pakistan. The Wall Street Journal called the cache of computers and documents 'the largest potential intelligence coup of the post-9/11 era.' Here's a look at what was discovered, where it is now, and what it might reveal.
US forces obtained a trove personal computers, disks, thumb drives, and electronic equipment during the weekend raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound. Materials reportedly included five computers, 10 hard drives, and more than 100 storage devices, such as disks, DVDs, and removable flash drives (CNN breaks it down).
“They cleaned it out,” one official told Politico. “Can you imagine what’s on Osama bin Laden’s hard drive?”
