British higher education consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) today released its annual ranking of the world's top universities, one of the most influential university rankings worldwide.

9. University of Pennsylvania – Philadelphia, Penn.

Penn came in at No. 12 in 2010.

Employer review: Tied for No. 15 with 16 other schools (there were 10 schools tied for No. 4, making No. 15 the No. 6 spot)

Citations-per-faculty: 33 (tied with University of California- Santa Cruz)
