US says nerve-gas bombs must stay at Denver site

Pentagon officials announced Tuesday their decision to keep 888 nerve- gas bombs at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver. The decision is a victory for Gov. Scott M. Matheson of Utah, who opposed Army plans to ship the "wet eye" bombs to his state on the ground that shipping the bombs, which contain a deadly nerve agent, could be dangerous.
