Secondary schools across the United States are alive with students and controversy. Problems abound -- vandalism, violence, lowered standards, boredom , racial hatred. But problem solvers are at work, and the Monitor, in a special pullout education section, will take you into several high schools around the US where students, teachers, and administrators, in harmony with parents and neighbors, are having a good time. Where scholarship comes first and where adults and students live together in harmony.
