Empty tanker, cargo ship collide at Galveston Bay

An empty 780-foot oil tanker owned by Amoco Oil Company collided with a cargo ship in predawn fog Wednesday near the entrance to Galveston Bay. Both ships caught fire, but only one man was injured. A Coast Guard board is investigating the increased hazards at the bay entrance.
