A poster contest

Children from age 7 to 14 are invited to design a poster for World Gratitude Day -- an international holiday officially recognized by the United Nations to promote peace among people and friendship among nations. Entries should reflect the theme of world unity.

Here are the rules:

* Submit one entry only.

* The poster should be no larger than 17 by 22 inches.

* The deadline is June 21.

Include the artist's name, date of birth, age, school, grade, and home address on the back of the poster. Submissions may have a title, but entries cannot be returned.

Winners and runners-up will receive prizes on Sept. 21 (World Gratitude Day) in each of four age categories. The children who submit the top entries will have their posters put on display and their names listed in the World Gratitude Day Newsletter.

Send all art work to World Gratitude Day, Inc., Suite 7A, 777 United Nations Plaza, N.Y., N.Y. 10017.
