The Anderson campaign turns the tables: "A vote for Carter is a vote for Reagan." So says Tom Matthews, the Anderson press secretary. Following the same tack, Anderson himself said on CBS's "Face the Nation" he considers Carter "out of it, " with little chance to win. This rationale suggests that disillusioned voters may still turn to Anderson in the final moments as the only real alternative to Reagan -- leaving Carter the Spoiler.
